SAFETY'TALti rdl {f_.• t:r trs x <br />Department—� <br />TOPIC- MSDS/ Hazard Material knowledge: <br />• Do you know what to do in case of a Hazardous spill? <br />• In the event of a Hazardous spill you should: <br />1. Contact your Manager/ Supervisor immediately. <br />2. Contain area, (keep all associates away from spill area until Management arrives). <br />3. DO NOT put yourself in harms way of the spill. <br />4. Only trained Managers or Associates may respond to a minor spill or release of <br />a hazardous substance. <br />Do you know where the Hazardous spill kits are located? <br />One is located in Zone 7 at the North wall. <br />Another is located in the garage/ Maintenance bay area, (located in the center <br />garage bay next to zone 4 shipping). <br />The last spill kit is located at the truck diesel fuel tank area, (located next to the <br />truck wash outside zone 4 shipping, North end of lot). <br />Each hazmat spill kit is a yellow plastic container marked, "Hazmat spill kit." <br />Do you know how to get a MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) for a product? <br />• • Located on every phone in the Distribution Center is a yellow "MSDS/ Poison Control" <br />sticker with hot line numbers. <br />• You can also obtain a copy from the internet of any Hazmat product. <br />Do you know what a "Code 10" is? <br />Code 10 is an alert to be used by all OSH associates on the mics in the aisles, (PA <br />system) to notify DC personnel in the event of a hazardous spill.
