Main, Stockton <br />Program: HW <br />SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br />CLASS I CLASS II, or MINOR -Notice to Com <br />This is a report of the Routine hazardous waste inspection conducted at the referenced facility by San <br />Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD). The following are Minor Violations - Notice to <br />Comply: <br />20 8r 50. One 55 -gallon container had no hazardous waste label, and one 55 -gallon container had a <br />hazardous waste label with accumulation start date of 6/21/2010. All hazardous waste containers shall <br />be marked with the following information: <br />1. the words "Hazardous Waste" <br />2. name and address of generator <br />3. hazardous properties <br />4. physical state <br />5. composition (contents) <br />6. accumulation start date <br />Immediately label these containers and ensure that all containers are marked with all the required <br />information. Since these containers have been on site longer than 180 days, immediately contact a <br />licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest and submit a copy of the <br />manifest to the EHD by June 28, 2011. <br />NOTES (The following are not violations) <br />The facility generated approximately 720 pounds hazardous waste in 2010 based on the one full and <br />one nearly 2/3 (about 40 gallons) full drums. Generator stated they had not disposed any hazardous <br />waste the last three years. Discussed with generator Universal Waste management requirements <br />including aerosol cans, lamps, alkaline batteries, mercury containing switches, CRT, electronic devices, <br />etc. in a closed container with a label identifying the content and the start date of accumulation. <br />Universal Wastes must be managed within 1 year of accumulation, and the disposal records maintained <br />on site for at least 3 years. Also discussed the requirement to retain on site hazardous waste disposal <br />records for 3 years. <br />A copy of Gas Retail Best Management Practice factsheet, Universal Waste factsheet, CUPA class <br />schedule, blank hazardous waste labels, hazardous waste labeling factsheet, and SJC Small Business <br />Hazardous Waste Disposal Program pamphlet, have been provided to generator during this inspection. <br />Submit the following to EHD by: June 28, 2011 <br />1) A completed copy of the (provided) Return to Compliance Certification <br />2) A written statement how each violation was corrected <br />3) Evidence (i.e. photos, disposal receipts, documents) in support of the corrections made. <br />ALL EHD STAFF TIME ASSOCIATED WITH FAILING TO COMPLY BY THE ABOVE NOTED DATES WALL BE BILLED AT THE CURRENT HOURLY RATE ($12,2). <br />THIS FAZILITY IS SUBJECT TO REINSPECTION AT ANY TIME AT EHD'S CURRENT HOURLY RATE. <br />EHD Irmpector: <br />Received By: Title: <br />E,`.023-02X,C3 Ret OOMW10 CONTINUATION FORM <br />
