Waste Oil level Indication Gauge required, may combine with overfill Alarm per Title 22.
i.e. battery operated audio overfill gauge. i.e. 1 @ Krueger KSALARM
2. Maintain Daily Inspection record or. site. (22 CCR§66265.195)
3. New installations may Require Emergency Relief Venting on Primary 1,000 GA AST
where tank is exposed to heating. i.e. 1 @ Morrison fig 244 6"threaded IPS 16 oz.
There is no 6"threaded opening available to update. The likelihood of sustained pool fire
exposure requiring emergency venting with single AST in pan is minimal when
combined with frequent documented inspections of pan volume. To assure partial
emergency venting, install Morrison fig 244 4"threaded 16 oz. ERV where current
normal vent is located and relocate existing normal vent to available threaded outlet.
4. Security fencing if required by regulatory authority, may include enclosure of waste
coolant and used filter drums. Suggest plastic pallet pans for secondary containment,
DOT hazardous material drums and tarp cover.
5. A clearance between pan bottom and concrete (PCC)floor is necessary to readily
identify any release to the PCC floor. Suggest removal of waste oil tank after emptying,
installing 3 each channel steel skids across bottom of pan, welded at outside edge of
pan. Install minimal steel cradle inside pan to prevent AST from shifting.
6. Clean floor in area of pan to ease detection of leakage or spillage.
RECEIVED
MAR 13 2015
ENVIRONMENTAL
HrA'Tu ncoe0T4AChM
