' Site Safety Plan <br /> Job No. 4780200 <br /> Pape 1 <br /> I. INTRODUCTION <br /> This Site Safety Plan (SSP) was developed by EZC, Inc. for a Quikrete of <br /> Northern California (client) for work to be conducted at 820 South American <br /> Street in Stockton, California (see Figure 1 in Work Plan). The primary purpose <br /> ' of this SSP is to provide field personnel with an understanding of the potential <br /> chemical and physical hazards that exist or may develop during activities <br /> conducted at the site, and to provide information concerning emergency <br /> response in the event of a release of a hazardous substance(s) or of an accident <br /> involving a physical injury. <br /> tThe primary objective is to ensure the well-being of all individuals working at <br /> the site. In order to accomplish this objective, all individuals involved in <br /> activities at the site (excluding those involved in the temporal delivery of <br /> supplies and materials) shall read, acknowledge and adhere to the policies and <br /> procedures established herein. All personnel assigned to the project under <br /> execution at the site will read this SSP and sign the Agreement and <br /> Acknowledgement Statement in Section XII to certify that they have read, <br /> understood, and have agreed to abide by the provisions contained herein. <br /> A. Site Background <br /> Hydrocarbons were detected in the soils of the site during UST removal <br /> activities and follow-up site studies. Information identifying specific <br /> ' concentrations of hydrocarbons present in the soils of the site was note <br /> provided to EZC, Inc. <br /> B. Project Description <br /> ' The scope of work under which this SSP is being prepared concerns the <br /> collection of soil samples utilizing a drilling rig. <br /> ' C. Amendments to Site Safety Plan <br /> ' Any change in the scope of this project, conditions at the site, or both, must <br /> be amended in writing and be approved by the Health and Safety Manager. <br />' E,C, Inc.
