tJob No. 4780200 Page 1
1 .0 INTRODUCTION
E2C, Inc. has completed a groundwater sampling and analysis investigation of
the property located at 820 South American Street in the city of Stockton,
' California (hereinafter referred to as the subject site). This investigation was
performed to assess the likelihood that the groundwater beneath the subject
' site has been adversely impacted by the former presence of petroleum
' hydrocarbons contained within three Underground Storage Tanks (USTs).
1.1 Site Location and Description
' The subject site is located at 820 South American Street in Stockton, California
(See Figure 1). According to the United States Geological Survey Map,
' Stockton West Quadrangle, the site is at an approximate elevation of 15 feet
above mean sea level and is located within Subdivision J, Section 11 of
Township 1 north, Range 6 east of the Mount Diablo Base Meridian.
' The Assessor's partial number for the property is (APN 147-292-9,-f0,-11).
The property consists of three parcels of land which are occupied by three
' buildings that are not currently in use. (See Figure 2).
' 1.2 Site Background
' The buildings were previously used as the business place of Seibold
Construction. As part of these business activities, three USTs, existed at the
' site and were used for the storage of gasoline and diesel fuels. According to
Ms. Mary Meyes of the SJCPHS, the USTs were removed in 1989 and 1990.
' Based on soil samples collected at the times of the USTs' removals, the
SJCPHS requested that additional investigation be performed. At the time of
' E2C's investigation, the subject site was vacant.
1•
' EC, Inc. April 20, 1993
