Brad Frahm <br /> Page 2 <br /> FEB 15 MI <br /> Preliminary Investigation and Evaluation Report (PIER) : <br /> Basic information developed from the soil sampling report <br /> (summarized) ; <br /> - The problem area is to be accurately delineated on maps <br /> and cross sections drawn to scale that depict the lateral <br /> and vertical extent of soil contamination, and lateral <br /> and vertical extent of vapor plume(s) . Cross sections <br /> must include soil stratigraphy based upon boreholes, <br /> trenches, monitoring wells, or any other supporting <br /> information; <br /> - Tables summarizing analytical data and methodologies used <br /> to collect and analyze the samples; <br /> - Depth to groundwater; and <br /> Groundwater quality. <br /> Information developed for this report will determine whether a soil <br /> only or a soil and groundwater remediation must be considered. <br /> The PIER will be due in our office no later than 90 days from the <br /> date of this letter. <br /> The work plan to perform the Preliminary Investigation and <br /> Evaluation Report will be due in our office 30 days from the date <br /> of this letter. <br /> Failure to respond to this notification may result in legal and/or <br /> administrative action. <br /> If you have any questions, contact Diane Hinson, Supervising REHS, <br /> at (209) 468-3450. <br /> ogi Khanna, M.D. , M.P.H. <br /> ealth -fic <br /> L urie A.
