Ent4rarnentakEnglneering Cananitanm
January 8, 1993
Job No. 4780200
Quikrete of Northern California
6018 Stewart Avenue
Fremont, California 94538
ATTN: Mr. Allen Law
SUBJECT: SUBSURFACE SOIL INVESTIGATION
820 South American Street
Stockton, California
Gentlemen:
i
Pursuant to our workplan dated December 23, 1992, EzC, Inc. has completed a
subsurface investigation at the aforementioned subject site. The purpose of this
investigation was to assess the likelihood that soils beneath the site have been
adversely impacted by the former presence of hydrocarbons contained within
Underground Storage Tanks (USTs)
Soil samples collected at the time of this investigation were analyzed for petroleum
hydrocarbons and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs). The laboratory reported that
soil samples from one of the borings has high concentrations of Total Petroleum
Hydrocarbons in the form of gasoline (TPHg) and its VOC constituents Benzene,
Toluene, Ethyl benzene, and Xylenes (BTEX). Based on the laboratory report for the
samples collected for analysis from the site, field observations and our professional
judgement, it appears that the soils at the site have been adversely impacted by
TPHg and BTEX which has been released from the former USTs.
Should you have any questions or require supplemental information, please do not
hesitate to contact us.
I _
Sincerely,
Fes_
Udc- i
{ r
I _ J N° 0QJ56
Robb Welch iendall W. rice, EAS ir
Staff Geologist President
OF C
1220 Crossman Avenuu Suite 21717•Sunnyvale Califumiri 94059•(4178]7471414 •FAX(408]745-1009
I
