This program was requested by Mr. Joel
,b Gentles of Seibold to comply with the requests of the San Joaquin
County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division
(PHS/EHD).
j There was a two phase sniff sampling effort: which ;.,as preceded by
the removal of two underground fuel storage tanks from the site on
820 S. American Street, Stockton, California. The tank remoral was
(° conducted by Seibold Corporation with soil samples taken from the
> tank excavations by Canonie Environmental. No leaks or loss cf inventoried fuel was
t noted in either of the tanks prior to removal. An 8000 gallon --rA0 K
egular gas tank was removed April 3, 1989 by Seibold Corporation- #3
I with soil samples collected by Canon?.e Environmental from beneath
x the tank, dispenser, and fuel lines. A total of four samples were
submitted for analysio.
! A 2000 gallon unleaded ,
Era 9 gas tank was removed on March ]. 1990 from TA -OK
the site by Seibold Corporation and soils sampled by Canonie -
Environmental from the pit, .soil stockpile and dispenser area.
!' During the excavation activities, a single loose pipe fitting was
noted in the fuel lines on the east side of the 2000 gallon
unleaded gas tank. This suggested a possible leak in this
{, location. There were a total of 12 samples submitted to the lab
11% from this sampling. Figure 2 displays these sampling locations.
A report of analytical data from Canonie Environmental dated March
15, 1990 was submitted to the County PHS/EHD.
The soil samples collected by Canonie Environmental were collected
into brass tubes and sealed with caps and tape. These samples were
I analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH-G), benzene,
r.
