FES -01-2005 <br />09:23 0 <br />P.O:i/06 <br />CALIFORNIA REGIONAL WATER QUALITY CONTROL BOAR <br />CENTRAL VALLEY REGION <br />REVISED MONITORING ANIS REPORTING PROGRAM NO. 95-097 <br />FOR <br />THE WINE GROUP, INC. <br />FRANZIA WINERY <br />SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br />This revised Monitoring and Reporting Program (MRP) presents requirements for monitoring of the <br />wastewater effluent and groundwater. This MRP is issued pursuant to Water Code Section 13267. <br />The Discharger shall not implement any changes to this NW unless and until a revised MRP is <br />issued by the Executive Officer. Specific sample station locations shall be approved by Regional <br />Board staff prior to implementation of sampling activities. <br />All wastewater samples should be representative of the volume and nature of the discharge. The time, <br />date, and location of eachArab sample shall be recorded on the sample chain of custody form. <br />LEACHFIELD MONITORING <br />The domestic wastewater systems will be visually monitored on a monthly basis. Leachfield <br />moratoring will consist of visual inspection of the leachftelds and nearby area for the presence of wet <br />areas, leachate or groundwater seepage, objectionable odors, and/or unexpected plant growth. <br />-- Leachfield monitoring results shall be included with all monthly monitoring reports. <br />AFFUCATION AREA MONITORING <br />The application area shall be visually monitored on a monthly basis, Application area monitoring <br />will consist of visual inspection of the application areas for the presence of saturated areas or surface <br />water runoff. Application area monitoring results shall be included with all monthly monitoring <br />reports. <br />PROCESS WASTEWATER MONITORING <br />Process wastewater samples shall be collected from the outfall side of the wastewater sump. Flow <br />monitoring shall be conducted continuously using a flow meter and shall be reported in cumulative <br />gallons per day. Samples shall be collected monthly when the distillery is not in operation, and <br />weekly when the distillery is operating.
