Containers That Held Pourable Materials: The container must <br /> i be fully drained. In regards to draining, a container is empty ; <br /> when there is no longer a continuous stream of material coming •'" <br /> from the opening when the container is held in any orientation <br /> Containers Holding Non-Pourable Materials: no hazardous <br /> material shall remain in the container that can feasibly be <br /> removed by physical methods, including scraping and chipping, <br /> but not rinsing. <br /> Containers that hold hazardous material or hazardous waste (ink, oil, used oil, etc.) must be <br /> properly managed when empty. <br /> 1. If greater than 5 eallons: <br /> • Affix an "Empty" sticker to the container once empty — AND WRITE-IN THE DATE IT <br /> BECAME EMPTY <br /> • Empty containers must be managed within oneey ar of being empu!!! <br /> 2. All empty containers (regardless of size) — required handling: <br /> • Return to vendor for reuse. <br /> • Send off as scrap metal <br /> • Reuse for compatible haz. material or hazardous waste <br /> • Ship off-site with other regulated waste <br />
