OCT 2 0 [010
To Whom it may concern, ENVIRONMENT HEALTH
This letter serves as a Return to Compliance Certification to the anRJoaquin Co1un`t
Environmental Health Department site inspection on McLane Foodservice at 800 E. Pescadero
Ave. in Tracy, Ca.
Violation #8: Paperwork has been submitted to the DTSC to reactivate EPA #.
Violation #20: All containers and tanks have been properly labeled. Additional labels have
been ordered for use to remain in compliance.
Violation #27: Procedures have been put in place to ensure that all containers of hazardous
waste are kept closed except when adding and removing hazardous waste. Poly drums
containing compressor oil and spent absorbent will be removed by Safety Kleen.
Violation #50: Arraingements have been made with Safety Kleen to remove all hazardous
waste older than 180 days. We are waiting on our EPA # activation to complete this project.
Once Safety Kleen hauls away HW containers a manifest will be sent to the EHD.
Violation #60, 61, ft 62: A signed off copy of Manifest # 001509533 has been obtained and
will be stored on site for the next 3 years. A legible copy of the manifest will be sent to the
DTSC immediately. Chris Hake, Bruce Bravo, and Brian Shoeman all attended the Hazardous
Waste Management (CUPA) training on October 14`h at the San Joaquin County EHD office.
This class has given us a much better understanding of the regulations that we must be in
compliance with and what documentation we need to maintain.
Violation #64: Disposal records will be kept for spent lead batteries. Brian Shoeman is
currently in the process of disposing batteries through Star-Tam located in San Leandro, CA.
All batteries in the past 3 years have been rebuilt and sent back to our center. No disposal
receipts are necessary for the previous 3 years.
Violation #84: Fluorescent bulbs that have accumulated are scheduled to be hauled away by
Safety Kleen once the EPA # is reactivated. A copy of the manifest will be submitted to the
EHD once this is complete.
Violation #85: Records of disposal for universal waste will be kept on site for a minimum of 3
years.
Please contact me with any questions or concerns pertaining to any of these corrective
actions.
Christopher Hake
Transportation Manager
McLane Foodservice Distribution
800 E. Pescadero Ave, Tracy, CA 95304
Ph: 209.221.7550
