Unified <br /> Battery Acid Protocol — Clean up and Disposal <br /> Environmental Health&Safety <br /> ■ Required P.P.E. must be worn at all times when handling battery acid spills <br /> ■ Goggles/safety glasses & face shield <br /> ■ Full Length Impervious Apron <br /> ■ Full Length Impervious Gloves <br /> ■ Use Xsorb Acid Neutralizing Super Absorbent only on battery spills <br /> ■ Place all used absorbent material in the designated acid/absorbent waste container <br /> ■ Floors may then be cleaned using mops/scrubber <br /> ■ Mop/scrubber water must be dumped into the truck wash/equipment wash clarifier <br /> ■ Waste container lids must remain closed at all times when not in use <br /> ■ Waste containers must be stored on the containment unit when not in use <br /> ■ Do not mix other wastes into this container <br /> ■ Contact Mike Young (7407) or Thelma Sass (7416) for the following: <br /> ■ If the container requires a label <br /> ■ If the container becomes full <br />
