After collecting the groundwater sample, solid PVC pipe will be
connected to the slotted pipe at the bottom of the Hydropunch rods and the
Hydropunch rods will be retracted. The hole will be tremmie grouted to the
surface by pumping bentonite grout down the PVC pipe while retracting the
pipe.
Grab groundwater samples collected with a Geoprobe will follow the procedures
described in December 2003 Downgradient Delineation Report.
' Analytical Plan
Grab groundwater samples collected in South Stockton Street will be analyzed for
total oxidizable nitrogen to investigate the extent of nitrate downgradient of MW-5.
The remaining groundwater samples will be analyzed for the same constituents required
M by the site Monitoring and Reporting Program No. R5-2004-0806. Groundwater
samples will be handled under standard chain of custody procedures. Depending upon
the amount of groundwater capable of being removed from the deep CPT hole, the
' sample will be analyzed by the following analytical methods, in order of priority:
Volatile organic compounds, including 1,2-DCP by EPA Method 8260
• 1,2,5-TCP using Low Level GC/MS to obtain a detection limit of 0.005 ug/L
' Chloride, sodium, and total dissolved solids
• Total oxidizable nitrogen using EPA Method 353.2
• Carbamate/urea pesticides using EPA Method 8321.
' Reporting
The work described in this work plan will be reported to the RWQCB in the next
semi-annual report due after completion of the work. The information reported will
include: installation, development, and initial monitoring results of new monitoring
well (s); procedures and results deep on-site CPT/grab groundwater exploration;
• P:\PRJ2003REWWilbur-Ellis\WrO25O(JTF)\STOCKTON\S I.F Oct 2004 Work Plan\Oct 04 Work Planb.doc
rk
- RECYCLED AND RECYCLABLE
