The following is an itemized list of hazardous waste violations that have not been <br /> addressed for QUAIL LAKES CAR WASH as of May 11, 2017. <br /> Open violations from August 28, 2015 inspection <br /> Violation #502-Failed to comply with new hazardous waste tank system assessment requirements. <br /> Facility does not have a tank assessment for the 1000 gallon waste oil tank or the 500 gallon waste antifreeze tank. <br /> The owner or operator of a hazardous waste tank shall obtain a written assessment reviewed and certified by an <br /> independent, qualified, professional engineer, registered in California attesting that the system has sufficient <br /> structural integrity, is acceptable for the transferring, storing, and treating of hazardous waste, and that the tanks <br /> and containment system are suitably designed. Immediately have an assessment prepared for the 1000 gallon <br /> waste oil tank and the 500 gallon waste antifreeze tank. Submit a schedule showing when this will be accomplished <br /> to the EHD. <br /> Violation #608 - Failed to properly manage used oil and fuel filters. <br /> Oil filters were found: <br /> -One red 55 gallon drum of drained used oil filters on the west side of the facility did not have start accumulation <br /> date or a lid <br /> - One black 55 gallon drum of drained used oil filters on the west side of the facility did not have a start <br /> accumulation date <br /> -One black 55 gallon drum of drained used oil filters on the west side of the facility did not have a lid <br /> Used oil filters shall be drained of free-flowing oil, stored in a closed, rainproof container, labeled as"drained used <br /> oil filters,"and marked with an accumulation start date. Immediately close and mark a start accumulation date on <br /> the 55 gallon drums and ensure that all used oil filters are managed in this way. <br /> Page 1 of 1 <br />
