Below are the descriptions of the sequence of events
that prompted the question. Why are we charged a fee for something that does not apply. (Invoice
2-5-2002).
1996-1997 Discontinued Organic analysis at FGL Stockton. Instruments trucked to FGL
Santa Paula and put into use. All Organic Analysis sent to FGL Santa Paula, CA.
5-1.997 Discontinued Metals and Most Wet Chem Analysis at FGL Stockton. Instruments
trucked to FGL Santa Paula, CA. All Metals and Most Wet Chem Analysis sent to
FGL Santa Paula. (Stockton analyzes drinking and waste water for Chlorine
residual,pH and Bacteriology.)
8-14-1997 MSE Environmental Lab Pack(Inclosed) shows 462 pounds of hazardous waste
removed from the FGL Stockton Lab.
10- 2000 I was given the Health and Safety Officer responsibilities.
12-2000 I performed a Safety Inspection, Hazard.Communication/Evacuation drill, Safety
Training, Chemical Hygiene Inspection,Eye wash and Hood inspection.
I Looked for any left behind Hazardous waste and found none.
I transferred to FGL Santa Paula any chemicals and reagents no longer needed at
FGL Stockton, but could be utilized by FGL Santa Paula. I also transferred unused
pi-imp oil in the original containers.
From that time until present to my knowledge there has been no hazardous waste
at FGL Stockton.
2001 Transfered reagents were used.(Example 1:1 HNO3 was utilized to acidify Gross
Alpha ans Beta samples.)
2001 Transferred chemicals were coded and placed in chemical closet. See enclosed
Organic,Inorganic, Indicators and potassium prefix Chemical audit sheets.
Example: Many new indicators show up at 12-2001 audit. Also see Potassium
prefix chemicals the Potassium Permanganate increased from 3 to 8 bottles.
3-2002 An Audit of the Main Chemical Closet shows new chemicals that needed to be
added to the old list.
corporate otnces&Laboratory OtOee&LaboMtory Reid ONlee
P.O.Bos n21959 Corporation Street 2500 Sta9mo M Road Visalia caftmla
sante PALM,CA 93061-0272 Stockton,CA 95215 TEL• (SW 730.9479
TEL (605)659-0910 TEL (209)942-0181 FAX (559)7346435
FAX (905)525-0172 FAX (209)942-0423 Moblb: (558)737-2399
CANELAPCe,1M UM No.01110CA CA FLAP CeN6aatlon No.1563
CA ELAP cermawn No.1573
