Hwy 26, Linden <br />Program: HW <br />SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br />CLASS I, CLASS II, or MINOR -Notice to Comply) <br />This is a report of the Routine hazardous waste inspection conducted at the referenced facility by San <br />Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD). The following are Minor Violations - Notice to <br />Comply: #8,15,79,84 <br />8. This facility's EPA ID is still under the previous owner's name, is inactive, and therefore this facility <br />does not have a valid EPA ID number to manage hazardous waste. A hazardous waste generator shall <br />not treat, store, dispose of, transport or offer for transportation, hazardous waste without an EPA ID <br />number. Immediately obtain an EPA ID number to manage hazardous waste and submit evidence to <br />the EHD by August 25, 2011. A form has been provided. <br />15. Only a small amount of absorbent was available in the spill clean up container in the storage room <br />by the carwash. Facility shall maintain spill control and decontamination equipment, and tested if <br />required, to assure its proper operation in time of emergency. Immediately provide and maintain spill <br />control and decontamination equipment per this section. Submit how this was corrected to the EHD by <br />August 25, 2011. <br />79,84. Observed one broken Universal Waste fluorescent lamp, and three Universal Waste lamps not <br />stored in a container in the monitoring panel room on the second floor. Universal Wastes including <br />aerosol cans, lamps, alkaline batteries, mercury containing switches, CRT, electronic devices, etc., shall <br />be stored in a closed container that prevents breakage and release to the environment, labeled to <br />identify the type of Universal Waste and the initial date of accumulation, managed within one year of <br />storage, and retained a copy of the disposal receipt for at least 3 years on site. Immediately clean up <br />the broken lamp and manage the wastes in accordance to Title 22, and dispose the unbroken lamps <br />according to Universal Waste Rules, and submit a copy of their disposal receipts to EHD by August 25, <br />2011. <br />NOTES (The following are not violations) <br />The facility generated no hazardous waste or disposed any hazardous waste in 2010. A copy of <br />Universal Waste factsheet, CUPA class schedule, hazardous waste labeling factsheet, and San Joaquin <br />County Small Business Hazardous Waste Disposal Program pamphlet, have been provided to generator <br />during this inspection. <br />Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form with a statement of how <br />each violation was corrected, including supporting documentation, by August 25, 2011. <br />ALL EHD STAFF TIME ASSOCIATED WITH FAILING TO COMPLY BY THE ABOVE NOTED DATES WILL BE BILLED AT THE CURRENT HOURLY RATE. <br />THIS FACILITY IS SUBJECT TO REINSPECTION AT ANY TIME AT EHD'S CURRENT HOURLY RATE. <br />EHD spe r: <br />Receiv <br />Title: <br />EHD 2 -02-00 Rev 2/11 61 CONTINUATION FORM <br />
