Where SIN <br /> means, Safely Isolate&Notify. <br /> The following individuals/positions are authorized to <br /> provide assistance in the event a release of hazardous <br /> materials: <br /> Material Handling Unloaders,Environmental <br /> Coordinator,Facility Maintenance Personnel, <br /> Operators,Lab Technicians. <br /> The above personnel are authorized to perform the <br /> following actions to control spills of hazardous <br /> materials on or property. At a minimum our business <br /> must isolate the area of the spill and make notifications. <br /> Plug and patch containers,build retention dike,position <br /> container to stop leak,reduce pressure in container <br /> system, isolate area and make notifications,neutralize <br /> spilled material, secure system valves and closures, <br /> shutdown systems involved,apply adsorbent materials <br /> to spill areas,place spilled materials into drum or bag, <br /> ventilate area of release,or cover spill to prevent <br /> spread. <br />
