STOCKTON June 08 2015 <br /> Pactiv Packa in Inc <br /> SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br /> (CLASS I,CLASS II,or MINOR-Notice to Comply) <br /> Item# Remarks <br /> 301 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Facility not maintained to minimize the release of a hazardous waste. <br /> A 5 gallon black plastic bucket of oily liquid was observed in the outdoor compressor area with a hole cut in the lid. <br /> Oily liquid was dripping from the pipes above the bucket, onto the lid and the concrete around the bucket Oily <br /> staining was observed in the secondary containment area and over the edge of the secondary containment leading to <br /> the yard. Oily liquid was observed on the concrete in the secondary containment area from the drips. Facilities shall <br /> be maintained and operated to minimize the possibility of afire, explosion, or release of hazardous waste to air, soil, <br /> or surface water which could threaten human health or the environment Immediately fix any leaking parts, clean the <br /> spilled oily liquid, and manage according to Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. Submit a statement and supporting <br /> documentation explaining how this waste was managed. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 403 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to keep hazardous waste containers closed except when adding or removing hazardous <br /> waste. <br /> A 5 gallon black plastic bucket of oily liquid was observed in the outdoor compressor area with a hole cut in the lid. <br /> 55 gallon blue steel drum of ink solid waste was observed with the lid above it, but not on in OPMR. A 55 gallon blue <br /> steel drum of used oil was with an open funnel resting in the bunghole in the oil storage area. All hazardous waste <br /> containers shall be closed at all times except when adding or removing waste. Immediately close these containers <br /> and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed when not adding or removing waste. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 601 CCR 66262.34(d) Stored hazardous waste onsite greater than 180 days. <br /> A 5 gallon black plastic bucket of metal dust was observed in the maintenance shop with an accumulation start date <br /> of 10/28/13. Facilities who generate less than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per month and do not exceed 6000 kg of <br /> waste stored on site at any time may store waste on site up to 180 days.
