This notice was issued following a 10/07/2013 <br /> inspection at our 4545 Qantas Lane facility. The fmdings and corrective actions are as <br /> follows: <br /> 9108 Failed to determine if a waste is a hazardous waste. <br /> • Small metal particles generated during metal grinding, drilling and cutting are <br /> collected separately from larger particles and treated as hazardous waste until the <br /> analytical results are received verifying their hazardous or non-hazardous status. <br /> #404 Failed to keep containers of HW closed except when adding or removing HW. <br /> • 5 gallon bucket of used oil and 5 gallon bucket of unknown liquid(water <br /> contaminated with oil)have been disposed of as hazardous waste. All hazardous <br /> waste containers closed when not adding or removing waste. <br /> #407 An empty HW or HazMat container(larger than 5 gallons)was not marked <br /> with the date it was emptied and/or not managed within one year or being emptied. <br /> • All empty HW or HazMat containers are now marked with the date they were <br /> emptied. <br /> #605 Failed to completely label containers or tanks of hazardous waste. <br /> • All hazardous waste containers have been labeled as specified in the inspection <br /> report. <br />
