An aerosol can still containing product was observed in the trash can. Any person who generates a <br /> waste shall determine if the waste is a hazardous waste. Immediately stop disposal of aerosol cans, <br /> make a hazardous waste determination for these wastes, and manage them according to the Title 22 <br /> hazardous waste regulations. The aerosol can was removed from the trash for proper disposal at the <br /> time of inspection. Submit a statement and supporting documentation explaining how this waste was <br /> managed by July 15, 2011. <br /> REPEAT VIOLATION <br /> 20. A 55 gallon blue steel drum of used oil was observed with an accumulation start date of October 5, <br /> 2010. According to disposal records, this drum was last emptied on June 7, 2011. All hazardous waste <br /> containers shall be marked with the following information: <br /> 1. the words "Hazardous Waste" <br /> 2. name and address of generator <br /> 3. hazardous properties (flammable, corrosive, reactive, toxic) <br /> 4. physical state (liquid, solid) <br /> 5. composition (contents) <br /> 6. accumulation start date <br /> Immediately label these containers with the correct information and ensure that all hazardous waste <br /> containers are marked with all the required information. <br /> REPEAT VIOLATION <br /> Notice to Comply - Mirror violations: (84, 85) <br /> 84. The facility was unable to demonstrate the amount of time used alkaline batteries were stored on <br /> site. A generator of universal waste (alkaline batteries, mercury containing equipment, fluorescent <br /> bulbs, electronic devices, CRTs, aerosol cans) shall accumulate universal waste for no longer than one <br /> year from the date the waste was generated.
