Daca anan Jim
From: Kroll, Marc[Marc.Kroll@Crystal-Clean.com]
Sent: Wednesday, August 25,20101:21 PM
To: Dacayanan, Jim
Cc: Calverley, Bob; Watson, John; Knotts, Sam; Morin, Shane
Subject: RE:Environmental conference call follow-up
Attachments: 64495-3 Used Oil Filter Profiie.doc
Hi everybody,
Per our EH&S group used oil filters are regulated in CA as they are elsewhere, if they are drained and sent for recycling,
they are considered scrap metal. The shipments can be documented on a DOT bill of lading. Used oil filters handled in
this manner are not classified as hazardous waste therefore does not affect the customer's generator status.
Please find below a link to a fad sheet that is a good reference document.
http://www.dtsc.ca.eoy/informationResources/upload/RAG Used-Oil-Filters Generatorsl.odf
Jim,if you review, revise(as and if necessary),sign and send me a PDF of the attached Used Oil filter profile I will submit
it to Heritage—Environmental Services and your oil filters will be re-characterized.
I'll call to see how I may best serve TIN—Tracy.
Thanks.
Marc Kroll
928-308-2570
From: Dacayanan,Jim [mailto:JimDacayanan@t.empleinland.com]
Sent:Tuesday, August 17, 2010 11:05 AM
To: Kroll, Marc
Cc: Calverley, Bob; Watson, John; Knotts, Sam; Morin, Shane
Subject: FW: Environmental conference call follow-up
Marc,
In the management of oil filters, I would like to have them collected and handled as recycled, rather than as hazardous
waste.
Please check with your technical support.
I will need labels for the containers reflecting the change.
Will you need anything from us to effect this change,a new waste stream profile, perhaps?Let me know.
Looking forward to your response,
James Dacayanan
Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator
Temple-Wand
Tracy California
1
