STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE <br /> Procedure#: DRAFT Title: <br /> Issue#: i <br /> Issue Date: 3/5/2004 Emergency Procedures. I N L A N D <br /> Supersedes Date: None Power Outage ATemple-Inland ampuny <br /> properly shut down. <br /> B All employees will remain at their workstations until notified by the Facilitator to evacuate.Do not <br /> wander about in the dark,or away from your work station where you are expected to be for <br /> communication etc. <br /> C Upon notice of evacuation,all machine operators and assistants will shut off all main switches <br /> on all electrically powered equipment.Turn off any air,water,hydraulic or other forms of <br /> energy to prevent unintended and unsupervised startup of equipment when power is restored. <br /> D All employees will evacuate the plant floor and assemble in the Corrugater Blockhouse and <br /> Cafeteria.Facilitators will conduct a head count to assure all employees are present. <br /> E Employees may not conduct work or wander the plant during this time unless you are <br /> engaged in assigned work related to the power outage.Acceptable locations are the cafeteria, <br /> the blockhouse,restrooms,and the patio. <br /> F Employees engaged in work related to the power outage must travel and work in Teams of at least two <br /> persons,and equipped with portable lighting adequate to the related work. <br /> 6.2 Power Restored <br /> �• A Upon restoration of power,maintenance will turn on main panel circuit breakers and check <br /> for proper three-phase operation. <br /> B Maintenance will also check the fire system for proper operation. <br /> C Maintenance will restart the boiler and air compressor. Once Maintenance has verified that <br /> adequate air pressure has been restored to operate conveyor brakes and other control <br /> systems,Maintenance will notify the Facilitator the plant is safe to enter. <br /> D After receiving notice that the air pressure in the plant is up,and the plant is safe to enter,the <br /> Facilitator will release the employees to return to their workstations. <br /> E At the direction of the maintenance department,all equipment will be systematically and <br /> sequentially restarted to avoid any potential overload problems. <br /> 7.0 Documentation <br /> 7.1 No additional documentation. <br /> Issued By Authorized By: Page 2 of 2 <br /> F <br /> x attachments <br />
