RELEASE REPORTING PROCEDURE <br /> 1) Employee discovering the spill gets away from the spill and alerts others to stay away <br /> from the area. <br /> 2) Employee alerts Supervisor-In-Charge. Then the Supervisor-In-Charge first looks for <br /> injuries and then identifies if an incidental spill is occurring, as referenced in the <br /> Emergency Procedures, Spill Response Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). <br /> 3) If an incidental response is sufficient, the Emergency Coordinator with the assistance <br /> of the Shift Supervisor will direct the clean-up. <br /> 4) If a spill is NOT identified as incidental,—i.e. emergency spill, then the Supervisor-In- <br /> Charge will contact General Manager, Production Manager, and Emergency <br /> Environmental Coordinator. <br /> 5) The Emergency Environmental Coordinator will identify material, determines the <br /> character, source, amount, and real extent of the release; utilizing observation, facility <br /> records and manifests. <br /> 6) The facility's Spill Plan (part of PPERM Plan)will be put into effect by the GM. <br /> The GM will also initiate outside emergency response assistance at(3E at 800/451- <br /> 8346). and report the emergency release to Corporate Environmental as listed below <br /> (317-341-5295).
