All hazardous waste containers shall be closed at all times except when adding or removing waste. <br /> Immediately close these containers and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed when not adding or <br /> removing waste. This is a Class II violation. <br /> 601 CCR 66262.34(d) Stored hazardous waste onsite greater than 180 days. <br /> Two back 55 gallon drums on the southwest side of the shop were on site longer than 180 days during time of <br /> inspection . Facilities who generate less than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per month and do not exceed 6000 kg of <br /> waste stored on site at any time may store waste on site up to 180 days. Immediately contact a licensed hazardous <br /> waste hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest and submit a copy of the manifest to the EHD. This is a Class II <br /> violation. <br /> 608 CCR 66266.130 Failed to properly manage used oil and fuel fitters. <br /> A 5 gallon container of used oil filters were stored on site for longer than one year during time of inspection . Facilities <br /> that generate up to one ton of used oil filters per year may store the filters up to one year. Facilities that generate one <br /> ton or more of used oil filters may store the filters for up to 180 days. Immediately recycle these filters under a bill of <br /> lading and submit a copy of the bill of lading to the EHD. This is a minor violation. <br /> Overall Inspection Comments: <br /> Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD with a statement <br /> documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation, and any supporting <br /> paperwork, by December 5, 2014 . <br /> Consent to perform the inspection, take photos and collect samples was given by Miles Watterson the owner. <br /> Please be aware as of January 1, 2013, all businesses are required to submit all hazardous materials information <br /> online to the California Environmental Reporting System (CERS) at http://cers.calepa.ca.gov. Be sure to include <br /> your hazardous waste activity in the Businesses Activities section in CERS in addition to any other relevant <br /> activities and required fields. <br /> NOTES: <br /> `Facility has a parts washer, Miles Watterson indicated that no waste has been removed from the parts washer. <br /> Miles has been informed that before he disposes of the waste inside the parts washer he needs to make a <br /> hazardous waste determination CCR 66262.11 and dispose of as hazardous waste if it is determined to be <br /> hazardous waste. <br /> * Four 55 gallon drums and a black 5 gallon container of oil filters located on the southwest side of the shop were <br /> not properly labeled as hazardous waste, this was corrected on site.
