4LED
z
Universal Waste Training
California and Colorado
This training meets the requirements of CCR 22 § 66273.36. Personnel Training (California) and the requirements of
6 CCR 1007-3 Section 273.16 Personnel Training (Colorado)
The primary audience is Engineering, Clinical Technology/BioMed, EVS and EH&S professionals, but it is
appropriate for anyone managing* Universal Waste.
Kaiser Permanente employees working in California and Colorado do NOT need to take the "federal" version of
this course - completion of this course is sufficient to meet the regulatory training requirements for the
management of Universal Waste in California and Colorado.
*The term"personnel who manage universal waste" means any persons who consolidate, sort, treat, recycle, package for transport, offer for
transport, or physically relocate containers of universal waste.
Persons who, in the course of their normal duties, only generate universal wastes from onsite sources and place them into accumulation containers,
areas or locations are not"personnel who manage universal waste" (e.g., an office worker who removes spent batteries from an electronic device).
CCR 22 §66273.36,
6 CCR 1007-3 Section 273.16 O 2010 Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, Inc. 1
