Below are typical job functions/descriptions that can be found at this facility. All training rosters are kept in the service department's yellow box. Training rosters are filled out and signed by the individual employees and their job descriptions are stated on the cooresponding training rosters. All trainings are completed upon hire and anually thereafter. SERVICE TECHNICIAN: As a service technician, employee understands that they are the first to handle the waste generated at this facility. All of the service technicians have been trained in the importance of wearing PPE when handling any type of hazardous waste as well as the importance of not mixing waste streams or storing incompatible wastes within close proximity to one another. The need for closing and labeling hazardous waste containers with both the contents and the accumulation start dates in the annual Hazardous Waste training. Specifically, technicians deal with the following waste streams accordingly. f. Used Oil and Used Coolant is collected from serviced cars in labeled roll-arounds that are pumped out every day. Pump out stations feed into double walled AST's that hold the waste until the hauler arrives. 2. Used Oil Filters are gathered and placed into a labeled 55 gallon drum for the next pick- up by the hauler. 3. Conaminated Fuel/Waste Absorbent(when generated) is drained from the vehicle and pumped into a labeled drum. PARTS EMPLOYEES: Personnel in the parts department work with the waste hauler to make sure that all waste is hauled away within 90 days of the original accumulation on-site. The hauler removes a.) used oil, b.) used absorbent, c.) used coolant, d.) drained and used oil filters e.) OILWATER separator sludge f.) waste gasoline [when generated] g.)waste Iaquer thinner h.)waste paint related material and i.)waste tires. Manifests documenting thise pick-ups are kept on-site in the yellow box and filed according to the waste stream in question. DETAIL EMPLOYEES: Personnel in the detail department supervise the efficiency of the oil/water seperator on-site, understanding that with increased car washing at the facility, the oil/water separator may need to be serviced more often than the San Joaquine mandated annual service. If the oil/water separator does start to back up, the detail department must inform the parts department that a service is required. The uniform manifests for this service are then paired with a signed copy, once received, and placed in the yellow box.
