In the course of onsite inspection it was determined that this facility is a <br /> hazardous waste generator, and as such a hazardous waste inspection was conducted and this facility was <br /> added on as a hazardous waste generator. A Notice to Abate Immediately was left onsite at the time of inspection <br /> An inspection report was prepared and provided (via email and via certified mail) for the onsite inspection <br /> conducted on 2-5-2016. Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD <br /> with a statement documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation(unless it <br /> required an immediate action), and any supporting paperwork, 30- days from receipt of this inspection report. <br /> Please be aware as of January 1, 2013, all businesses are required to submit all hazardous materials information <br /> online to the California Environmental Reporting System(CERS) at http://cers.calepa.ca.gov. Be sure to include <br /> your hazardous waste activity in the Businesses Activities section in CERS in addition to any other relevant <br /> activities and required fields. <br /> NOTES: <br /> 1) One 1,000 gallon split (50/50) diesel and gasoline Convault storage tank was observed inside the outdoor <br /> chemical storage area utilized for the storage of chlorine and muriatic acid and other chemicals. Mr. Walker <br /> indicated that he may be discontinuing the usage of this above ground storage tank since it's not very profitable t <br /> maintain. <br /> 2) Two 2,000-gallon elevated poly tanks were observed inside the cinder block secondary containment located <br /> inside the storage building located on the northern portion of the property. Mr. Walker indicated that they purchase <br /> the 12.5%sodium hypochlorite solution stored in these bulk tanks from Hasa. The bulk sodium hypochlorite <br /> solution is used to fill the retail size containers of pool chlorine. He also said that these tanks are filled every 3 <br /> month during winter months and every 1 to 2 month in summer months. <br /> 3) A drain was observed in the vicinity of the southeastern property corner. Mr. Walker indicated that it's a <br /> "French drain" that is typically empty, however, due to the recent rain its full now A submersible pump and a hose <br /> leading beyond the property line and onto the neighboring parcel(1760 E Yosemite) was observed in close <br /> proximity to the "French drain". <br /> This facility generates the following wastes: <br /> -spilled pool chemicals <br /> Provided: <br /> -return to compliance certification form <br /> -modified contingency plan <br /> -hazardous waste label and sample instructions <br /> -schedule of free training classes <br /> Page 6 of 7 <br />
