OPTION lA <br />ARTICLE 3, SECTION 2631 <br />MOTOR VEHICLE OR NONMOTOR VEHICLE FUEL TANK <br />CONSTRUCTION STANDARDS <br />1. Secondard containment provided. <br />�CPrimary containers shall be product tight. <br />Secondary containers <br />A. Thickness, density, composition, and product compatibility. <br />B. Sized to contain unauthorized releases for sufficient time to allow <br />detection and removal. <br />4. Secondary container volumetric requirements <br />A, Single primary container = 100%. <br />B. Multiple primary containers = 150% of largest primary container or <br />10% above -aggregate. <br />I. Document interproduct compatibility <br />Nilfi 5. Secondary containers open to rainfall. <br />A. Volumetric requirement = 24 hours of 25 year storm in addition to <br />primary container volumes. <br />6. Pore space of granular material used as backfill for the primary containers. <br />A. Refer to Section 2631(g). <br />X- 7. Secondard container equipped with a collection system. <br />A. Designed to: <br />1. Accumulate <br />2. Temporarily store <br />3. Permit removal of: <br />a. Precipitation <br />b. Subsurface infiltration <br />C. Released hazardous substances from primary container(s). <br />8. Floor of Secondary container <br />A. Constructed on firm base <br />B. Sloped to collection sump (1/8" per foot). <br />1. One or more access casings installed in sump <br />a. Sized to allow removal of collected liquid <br />b. Extend to ground surface <br />c. Perforated in sump region. <br />d. Covered with a locked waterproof cap or within a secured facility <br />e. Thick enough to withstand anticipated stresses <br />f. Construction materials: <br />1) Are not weakened by stored product <br />2) Will not donate, capture, or mask constituents to be analyzed. <br />149. Membrane liner specifications: <br />A. Refer and comply with Article 3, Section 2631 j, k, 1, and m. <br />
