The boring will be to a depth
of 11 foot at the tank center line. The boring depth will be to approxi-
mately 7.5 foot on a vertical measurement.
The tank bottom is at 5.3 foot below grade. The boring will be ac-
complished with an 8 inch diameter hollow stem auger, and a modified
California split spoon sampler will be employed for the purpose of sampling.
All auger, drill rod and sampler component parts will be steam cleaned prior
to the actual boring and sampling of the soil.
Upon completion of the boring and sampling, the 451 angle boring will
be backfilled to within 2 foot of the surface grade with Bentonite. The
remaining 2 foot will be filled with the cuttings of the boring and capped
with asphalt to match the existing surface finish.
P.O. BOX 4249, MODESTO, CALIFORNIA 95352
