ELITE IV CONTRA TORS. INC.
2535 WIGWAM DR. PHONE: (209) 461-6337
STOCKTON, CA 95205 FAX.....: (209) 461-6342
FED ID#68-0286169
November 25, 1996
Kent Miller
Deputy Fire Marshal
Stockton Fire Department
345 N. El Dorado St.
Stockton, CA
REFERENCE: ARCO FACILITY#4493- 205 N. CENTER ST., STOCKTON, CA
Dear Mr. Miller,
This letter is in response to your request to secure Fire Department Permit. We want to place
one 12,000 gallon gasoline fuel tank temporarily out of service, not to exceed one year. We are
shutting down tank#1, per drawing, due to an annular space problem in the secondary containment.
Our scope of work is as follows:
1)Remove existing 1,500 gallons of product from 12,000 gallon tank.
2)Evacuate vapors with dry ice. Approximately 200 lbs.
3) Cap and plug all piping to include: fill, gage opening, vapor returns, disconnect pump electrical
connections to secure from any tampering.
4)Leave existing vent line open per 1994 uniform fire code instructions.
If the above mentioned items are acceptable by you we will do the work and have you present if you
desire to inspect. I will need a letter of approval from you to present to the Environmental Health
Department per their request.
Thank You,
Mike Brown
Elite IV Contractors Inc.
