Initial inspection and
evaluation of the site is customarily conducted by the local implementing
agency (LIA), which in this case was the San Joaquin Local Health District
The local implementing agency was represented by Mr. William R. Snavely,
R. The inspection found one or more holes in Tanks B,
C, and WO. The size and location of all such holes or failure points will be
found on the UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVAL AND SAMPLING LOG sheet
for that individual tank.
Odor and discoloration of the soil was present in areas of the gasoline tank
pit and the waste oil tank pit. Sample locations and depths were chosen by
Mr. Snavely, R.S.
Nine samples were taken from the gasoline tank pit and two composite samples
were taken from its stockpiled material. One sample was taken from within
the waste oil tank pit and one sample of its stockpiled material was
obtained.
Information on the exact location of a particular sampling point will be
F found on the UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVAL AND SAMPLING LOG and the
TABLE OF SAMPLING LOCATIONS AND ANALYTICAL RESULTS. The location of
individual sampling points is shown on DIAGRAM TWO -A, and the location of
stockpiled material is shown on DIAGRAM TWO -B. Additional information on the
exact method of sample collection will be found in the SAMPLING METHODOLOGY
section of this report.
Sampling Report 88280-M-1 CHEVRON 4054 page 2
