Make certain <br />that all steps and handrails are <br />free of mud or other slip hazards. <br />Use correct 3 -Point Contact: face <br />the cab, use only factory installed <br />steps and handrails. Once <br />seated, adjust all controls for <br />comfortable operation. Adjust <br />seat and fasten seatbelt. Pull <br />down control bar and make <br />certain that it fastens in place <br />correct/ . <br />4 Starting Equipment Personal and/or Equipment Damage <br />Follow Tenet #7 by allowing <br />engine to warm up before moving. <br />Operate all controls while at a <br />standstill. Look for any fluid leaks <br />or if any moving part is unsmooth. <br />Make ceratin that back-up alarm <br />is working. <br />5 Operation of Personal, Property,and/or Equipment <br />in <br />Apply Tenet # 9 while operating <br />equipment. Make eye contact with <br />Equipment Damage due to Failure to Operate a <br />Safe and Controlled Manner <br />those around you. Always stop all <br />operations if another associate <br />becomes too close to your work <br />area. Operate in a smooth <br />manner to avoid bouncing which <br />will cause back and other injuries. <br />Always turn your head and look <br />behind ou before backin u . <br />6 Picking Up and Personal Injuries, Property and/or <br />Loads Equipment Damage due to Failure to <br />Apply Tenet #4 when performing <br />this task. Make certain that bucket <br />Carrying <br />Operate Equipment Safely <br />is placed level on ground. Never <br />allow the tires to raise off of the <br />ground. Drive slowly under load. <br />Tilt Bucket back slowly. Raise <br />bucket high enough to clear any <br />ground obsticles. Never raise the <br />bucket any higher when driving <br />forwards or backwards. Do not <br />overload bucket. Operate <br />equipment only on level ground. <br />7 Dismounting Personal Injuries, Property and/or <br />Equipment Damage due to Failure to <br />Before dismounting follow Tenet# <br />7 comming a complete stop <br />Equipment <br />Dismount Correctly <br />before turning off engine. make <br />certain that bucket is placed level <br />on ground. Remove key when <br />exiting the equipment. Use <br />correct 3 -Point Contact by facing <br />cab and using only factory <br />installed steps and handrails. <br />Make certain that all steps and <br />handrails are free of debris. Be <br />aware of all pinch points when <br />mounting or dismountin. Follow <br />
