;Site Safety and Health Plan - - — — <br /> — Wind direction in relation to contamination zones <br /> — Accessibility to co-workers, equipment, and vehicles <br /> — Communications <br /> — Areas of known or suspected contamination <br /> — Site access and egress <br /> — Nearest water sources. <br /> Workers and equipment in the work area enclosure should be minimized, consistent with <br /> effective site operations. <br /> Work areas for various operational activities must be established. <br /> In the event that any member of a field work team experiences any adverse effects or symptoms <br /> of exposure while on the scene, or organic vapors and combustible vapors exceed the action <br /> limits, the entire field team will immediately halt work and act according to the instructions <br /> provided by the Site Safety Officer. <br /> The discovery of any condition that would suggest the existence of a situation more hazardous <br /> than anticipated will result in the evacuation of the field team and reevaluation of the hazard and <br /> the level of protection required. <br /> 6.3 Personnel Roles, Lines of Authority, and <br /> Communication Procedures during an Emergency <br /> All personnel should know their responsibilities during an emergency; know who is in charge <br /> during an emergency, and the extent of their authority. This section outlines worker roles, lines <br /> of authority, and communication procedures during emergencies. <br /> In the event of an emergency at the site, the Site Safety Officer will assume control and will be <br /> responsible for on-site decision-making. This individual has the authority to resolve all disputes <br /> about health and safety requirements and precautions. He/she will also be responsible for <br /> coordinating all activities until the ambulance,rescue,fire personnel, etc. arrives on site. <br /> The Site Safety Officer will ensure that other contractors/subcontractors Safety Officer(s), the <br /> Health & Safety Officer, the Wayne Perry Project Manager or Site Manager are contacted as <br /> soon as possible after the emergency occurs.
