YEEOER-ROOT
Pressurized Line Testin
Veeder-Root TLS systems with Pressurized Line Leak Detection (PLLD), Wireless
PLLD (WPLLD), and/or Volumetric Line Leak Detection (VLLD) continuously self-
diagnose and self-test all components used for line leak detection.
The unit provides audible and visual alarms, and shuts down the pump, on self-test
failures and on 3 gph line leak alarms. Dispensing is not allowed if the console is turned
off. These features are standard, included in all PLLD.WPLLD,and VLLD systems, and
are not programmable. Line leak sensors do not require periodic calibration.
Completed line leak tests are evidence that, during the test,
The system was properly powered for the data collection periods.
The system was in control of the submersible pump as required.
All necessary line leak sensors were functional.
All line leak sensors were operating within specification.
All internal components were operating within specification.
Veeder-Root suggests that line leak users review periodic line leak results to ensure that
successful tests arc being completed and recorded in compliance with local regulations.
Note: For units that are enrolled in VeederRoot's Simplicity service it is suggested that
line test users refer to their Simplicity monthly compliance reports as evidence that the
system is operating properly.
For system with VLLD, pump-sidc tests, which test the piping between the unit and
pump discharge, should be recorded unless the unit is installed in a monitored sump.
Pump-side testing does not apply to PLLD or WPLLD, which are mounted on the pump
or the pump discharge and do not require or include a pump-side test.
Annular Spatz and Containment Monitorine
Veeder-Root TLS systems routinely self-diagnose and self-test all components used in
sensor monitoring, and provide audible and visual indication of sensor alarms.
Veeder-Root sensors do not require calibration. A fail-safe circuit in each sensor alerts
the console if the sensor is disconnected,or the connecting wire is cut or shorted.
The unit provides audible and visual alarms on sensor absence, sensor failure, and sensor
leak detection- These features are standard and not programmable.
A "Sensor Normal" indication at the TLS console is evidence that,
Necessary console internal components ate operating within specification.
The sensor is properly connected to the system.
Wiring to the sensor is intact and not %honed-
YaeDKR-ROOT
IIs Pawdst F.mr DAVO o Peal oaks act 2003,SIMi U ,CY 05090- 3
ry 75M.TEL'IseOi 551-;900 o FAX ta60)0513118
