Chevron
January 21, 2014
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
600 East Main Street
Stockton, California 95202-3029
Inspector Elena Venzer,
Global Marketing
V0
per F-11yG1 &aAds
Chevron Corporation
145 S. State College
Brea, CA 92821
P.O. Box 2292
Brea, CA 92821-2922
RECEIVED
JAN 2 8 2014
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTI1
PERMIT/SERVICEs
This letter is in response to the inspection report issued on February 2, 2012 to Chevron Station #210997,
located at 1442 A Colony Drive Ripon , CA 95366.
Below is our response regarding the 2 items noted in the attached inspection report.
■ 117: Concrete was broken on top of 87 and 91 tank to replace the Environ collar and lid with a
fiberlite collar and lid in late 2011, and a permit was not obtained from the EHD
We have made several attempts to rectify item 117. We still do not have
clarification on what is need to satisfy item #117. The initial inspector for this
notice Muniapp Naidu has stated that a permit need to be pulled by Wayne Perry
Inc, in regards to the repairs listed in item #117. Wayne Perry Inc. did not make
the repair and therefore they are not required to pull a permit. Inspector Naidu has
been insistent that Wayne Perry Inc. made the repair and therefore a permit needs
to be pulled by them,
The actual repair was made by Service Station Systems Inc., in which inspector
has stated to by Service Station Systems Inc. and to me (Andrea Vilchis) that
Service Station Systems Inc. did not need a permit for the repair.
My understanding is that this notice has now been handed over to you (Elena
Venzer). Wayne Perry Inc. has been in contact with you to attempt to resolve this
matter. As of today we still do not have a resolution. Wayne Perry Inc. did not
make the repairs and Service Stations Systems were told a permit was not
needed.
■ 310; Approximately 2 cups of liquid was observed in the 87 turbine sump.
• Per the inspection report, the technician removed the liquid and disposed of it in the
facility's hazardous waste drum.
At this time Chevron is considering this notice closed. If further action is needed, please contact me.
