SECTION 11.0 SAFETY/ORIENTATION TRAINING <br />11.1 FORMAL TRAINING <br />All Wright field personnel are trained in accordance with all applicable OSHA regulations pertaining to <br />personal safety and hazardous materials handling and decontamination. Wright's health and safety <br />program is in full compliance with 29 CFR, Part 1910, including the OSHA interim ruling which <br />amends CERCLA and sets specific standards for medical surveillance and training. Copies of <br />training documentation are available on request by notifying Mr. John Lynch in our Tracy office at <br />(209)833-0758. <br />Wright field personnel have extensive knowledge of various construction work and the tools in which <br />to do their work. <br />This formal training is supplemented by daily tail -gate safety briefing and additional site specific <br />training as required. <br />11.2 TAILGATE SAFETY MEETINGS <br />Short job site Tailgate Safety Meetings will be conducted at the beginning of each shift for each job or more <br />frequently if new employees arrive at the job site. All workers and supervisors will be expected to attend. <br />Health and safety concerned pertaining to the operations planned for that day will be discussed. The <br />meetings will also include any procedures that may be necessary for safety, or other considerations as <br />determined the the Site Safety Officer, such as change in temperature, wind velocity, or precipitation. <br />Attendance and participation records will be retained, and will become part of the project file. <br />
