Noe <br />HEALTH AND SAFETY PLAN <br />RE: Airport Passenger <br />2305 S. Airport Way <br />Stockton, CA <br />Tank and Product <br />One (1) 2,000 gallon gasoline tank <br />Two (2) 4,000 gallon diesel tank <br />The project manager and health and safety coordinator is Lou Tvedt of Paydirt <br />Excavating Co. Inc. 269 Oregon St. , Ripon, CA 95366, Phone # (209) 599-2347 pager <br />no. (209) 995-0122. The site safety officer will be Lou Tvedt of Paydirt Excavating Co. <br />Inc. The alternative site of safety officer will be George Gilmore of Paydirt Excavating <br />Co. Inc. <br />Paydirt Excavating Co. Inc., will have on site two (2) fire extinguishers and one (1) first <br />aid kit within 50 feet of tank location (see map). No smoking will be permitted within 50 <br />feet of the tank or areas where flammable vapors are present. Two no smoking signs will <br />be posted at job site. Paydirt Excavating co. Inc. shall notify USA Dig 48 hours before <br />excavation shall begin. Tank will be emptied of product before start of job. Tank will be <br />triple rinsed, the rinsate will be pumped from the tanks, stored in barrels and the barrels <br />will be hauled by Refinery Services phone number 1-800-874-4444 address: 13331 N. <br />Hwy 33, Patterson, CA. Dry ice 30 pounds per tank will be used to inert the tanks. <br />Before lifting of tank, Paydirt Excavating co. Inc. shall monitor tank with a low <br />explosion level (LEL) monitor. We will seal an openings and one (1) plug will have an <br />1/8 inch opening before tank will be transported along with piping. At no time will <br />Paydirt Excavating co. Inc. cut or weld on site. Tank will be secured on truck after <br />excavation for transportation. Tank and plumbing will be hauled by by Paydirt <br />Excavating Co. Inc. to Cal -Coast Mfg. 1540 Lynwood, Turlock, CA 95380, phone (209) <br />668-9382. Paydirt Excavating Co. Inc. will approach all tank excavations with possible <br />cave-ins. The following rules will be followed to prevent any mishaps: <br />1. Soil will he inspected for stability before and after removal of tanks. <br />2. Soil to be at least two (2) feet from edge of an excavation. <br />3. If excavation is five (5) feet or more, the hole shall be tapered, braced, or other <br />equipment methods shall be used to prevent possible cave-ins, precautions will be at all <br />times. <br />
