Board of Supervisors August 26 , 1986
Stockton Metropolitan Airport Lease Agreement Page 3
with Pete Smith
remaining undepreciated value of the tank. This price has been
determined in cooperation with the County Purchasing Department.
FISCAL IMPACT:
It is estimated that the sale and transfer of the fuel storage
equipment will result in a savings to the Airport Enterprise Fund of
approximately $2, 500. 00 ( $500. 00 annually for precision tank
testing, and a one time capital outlay of $2, 000. 00 for the
installation of electronic monitoring equipment ) . This agreement
would eliminate the need for the Department of Aviation to register,
test and monitor this equipment on an annual basis. Furthermore,
revenue for the Department of Aviation will continue to be derived
through a per month minimum and/or fuel flowage fee as provided for
in all airport fuel concessionaire agreements.
ACTION TO BE TAKEN FOLLOWING APPROVAL:
Contingent upon a valid precision tank test, in compliance with all
federal, state and local laws and regulations and approval of the
request by the Board of Supervisors, the current Airport Lease
Agreement will be cancelled, a Bill of Sale will be prepared by
County Counsel and a new Airport Ground Lease Agreement will be pre-
pared by the Department of Aviation and reviewed by County Counsel ' s
office. Once the Bill of Sale is prepared and the lease approved,
all documents will be submitted to Mr. Smith for his review and
signature. Upon return of the Bill of Sale and lease agreement to
our office, these documents will be submitted to the Board of
Supervisors for its review and approval.
Sincerely,
GEOR L. SPADAFORE
Airport Manager
GLS: DD:mlm
c: David D. Rowlands, Jr. , County Administrator
County Counsel - John F. Cheadle/Steven B. Bassoff
Auditor-Controller
Assessor
Richard Pietz, County Safety & Risk Manager
Pete Smith
Clerk of the Board - (Agenda Item - September 9 , 1986 )
