Multi -Sync Installa W <br />Instructions <br />For repairing TO FB or CB 3950's with <br />DPM MEMBER "Existing Direct Burial on Rigid or flex Piping Applications" Repair Kit <br />TELTE This Kit applies to Non -Perpendicular or Perpendicular piping entries on Existing Fiberglass or Flex <br />pipe, smaller than 3.6" OD, installed directly in the ground, <br />WARNING: Prepare all surfaces to be bonded prior to completing installation steps below. <br />Repair Kit for: Failure to follow each step will void warranty & may result in premature failure of penetration fitting. <br />MSZ TO FB 3950-xx Before ordering the parts for this repair, determine if you have a "Fine" or <br />Page 1 "Course" threaded Nut and if you are in a "Flat" or "Curved" sump. <br />Rev 2 - 4-30-2009 See "Teck Tips" if unsure which nut type you have. <br />General Instructions for: CLEANING: Spray all surfaces to be bonded with DBC Cleaner and allow to air dry or wipe excess with a clean dry <br />cloth. Surfaces must be dry before applying bonder. <br />General Instructions for: BONDING TO POLY SUMPS OR FIBERGLASS SUMPS: Clean, sand and rough up sump surfaces. Clean fitting and <br />apply DBB V between Bonding Ring & sump wall. On Poly Sumps if sump wall is un -even use DRP in place of DBB V. <br />STEP 1: Loosen & Clean TCI Nut STEP 2: Verify Seal to Secondary Pipe STEP 3: Clean all Repair Components <br />• Clean off any 'paste' or other bonders from around old TO Inspectthe boot Clean all repair components with DBC <br />body & sump wall, Patch & seal any possible leak paths prior to installation <br />Leave the clamp in place between the pipe & the remaining Split <br />• Remove the plastic nut off the fitting boot Split Repair Cleaner <br />Sleeve Bonding <br />• Clean & sand sump wall Ring <br />• Spray TO Body & sanded sump <br />wall with DBC cleaner i=='= r)sc <br />n. <br />Split Eccentric Split Multi -Sync <br />R" 1 Insert Reducer <br />t <br />yrs- Seal around here <br />STEP4: Install Bonding Ring & Repair Sleeve STEP 6: Install The Banding Ring <br />Wrack Bonding Ring over the existing pipe Apply DBB V to the sump side of the Bonding Ring <br />Wrack Repair Sleeve over the existing pipe Slide the Bonding Ring up to the Sump Wall <br />• Thread Old Nut onto existing TCI body & tighten "Snugly" up to Bonding Ring & Sump <br />Wall <br />Apply DBB V to Sump side of <br />a Bonding Ring <br />Note:. <br />The "Sealing node" on a <br />the Replacement Nut <br />- ry, <br />should line up with the <br />"Sealing Groove" on the <br />n Bonding ring <br />STEP 5: Bond Bonding Ring & Sleeve, Then Clamp STEP 7: Install The Repair Sleeve <br />• Bond "Bonding Ring" with DBB III & clamp • With "Fill Port" positioned at the top, Slide the Repair Sleeve up to the Bonding Ring <br />• Bond "Repair Sleeve" with DBB III & set clamps • Apply a bead of DBB III all around the outer edge of the Bonding Ring <br />• Slide Repair Sleeve over "Snap Ring Edge" on Bonding Ring <br />• Reposition "Fill Port" at the top & clamp in place. <br />h <br />r Old Nut threaded <br />d. in place - Repair Sleeve, <br />with Fill port at <br />c the top, Ready to <br />slide into place <br />o <br />Bonding Ring in place <br />Wipe any excess DBB V from outer edge before applying DBB II <br />Diversified Products Manufacturing Inc. 5523 Baggett Marysville Road, Oroville, CA 95965 530-534-3966 www.dpm-llc.com <br />
