r <br />IWW <br />SECTION 2.0 PROJECT SAFETY AUTHORITY <br />Personnel responsible for the on site project safety is the Project Manager, John Lynch who is responsible for <br />the dissemination of the information contained in the plan to the on site workers of Wright_ <br />The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring the following items are adequately addressed: <br />o Safety Supplies & Equipment Inventory <br />o Training Programs/Hazard Communication <br />o Accident/incident Reporting Procedures <br />o Decontamination/Contamination Reduction Procedures <br />The Project Manager and the Site Safety Officer have the authority to suspend work anytime they determine <br />that the provisions of the plan are inadequate to ensure worker safety. The Project Site Safety Officer shall <br />also inform the Project Manager of individuals whose conduct is not consistent with the requirements of the <br />plan. <br />The following is a list of safety officer and project manager responsibilities: <br />Identify emergency officials; <br />Identify chemicals and their toxicities,- <br />Provide <br />oxicities;Provide for first aid; <br />Perform site safety meeting; <br />Ensure proper protective gear is available and utilized - instruct employees in use and maintenance,- <br />Evaluate <br />aintenance;Evaluate potential hazards, both old and new, physical contact - lacerations, sprains, burns, inhalation <br />and absorption through skin, nose; <br />Electrical; <br />Layout contaminated and clean zones; <br />Note and communicate locations of emergency equipment; <br />Promote use of the buddy system and immediate notification of toxic effects; <br />Note possible explosion or fire hazards. <br />Records of the above items will be documented as they are defined and implemented in the site safety <br />meeting. <br />SECTION 3.0_ JOB HAZARD ANALYSIS <br />3.1 GENERAL BACKGROUND <br />The possible contaminant present on site is organics and lead from diesel fuel and gasoline. <br />
