.B.M.E. CORPORATION
A Petroleum Testing and Monitoring Co.
3814 Auburn Blvd., Suite 62
Sacramento, CA 95821
(916) 972-9010
Pacific Bell
7644 N. Ashley Lane
Stockton , CA
Filling Procedure & Overfill Protection System
The 1,500-gallon Joor double-wall tank will have two Ronan Model
LS-3 liquid sensors placed within the primary containment at a level of
30% tank diameter and 707. tank diameter. These two sensors are for low
fuel level warning only. They are connected in reverse of usual fashion
in that they are activated when no longer in contact with the liquid fuel.
The sensors are not connected to the Ronan leak detector alarm system,
but instead telephone a warning to Pacific Bell monitoring center. When
a low fuel level condition warning is received, Pacific Bell will send
a supply truck to the site.
In filling, the tank is equipped with a 5 gallon EBW #704 fill spill
container with drain valve and hose. Before filling the supplier will
check fuel level by sticking. Having established the fuel level currently
in the tank, the supplier will commence with filling the tank. During
filling, the operator will continuously monitor fuel level by watching
Stiel Saftey Gauge which can be observed through cap in manhole cover. To
guard against overfilling, the tank is provided with a float valve on the
vent line. For overfill warning, Ronan Model LS-3 liquid sensor placed
at 90% tank diameter and connected to an audible alarm system.
