r. Backfilling and Compaction` <br /> Since no chemical hazards are anticipated during this phase there is no need for chemical protective <br /> measures. While traffic control barriers are to remain in place,the internal contamination control zones <br /> can be removed. The excavation safety requirements described in this plan will apply. <br /> Minimum protective clothing for this phase of operations is the same as previously prescribed, (Level D). <br /> VII. Personal Injury Emergencies <br /> In the event of an emergency situation, immediate action must be taken by the first person to recognize the event. <br /> The First Aid Kit is located in the company vehicle designated as the emergency vehicle. Immediately after <br /> emergency procedures are implemented,notify Emergency Response at 911. <br /> a.Treatment for Chemical Exposure <br /> 1). Ingestion <br /> Do not induce vomiting unless instructed to do so by emergency medical personnel. Note the <br /> ingested substance(bring the container if possible and immediately transport to local <br /> Hospital,or call emergency response services at 911. <br /> 2). Inhalation <br /> If you can do so without harming yourself,move the injured worker away from the source of <br /> the contaminant. If breathing has stopped,perform artificial respiration on the victim. If <br /> the heart has stopped perform CPR.
