PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICES ap4IN
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY r• ° •.i
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH DIVISION
Ernest M. Fujimoto, M. D., M.P.H., Acting Health Officer ;
304 E. Weber Ave., Third Floor • P. O. Box 388 • Stockton, CA 9520141388 'tipibW4`P
209/468-3420
MAY 13 , 1996
CRAIG MORTENSON
ROBERT H. LEE & ASSOCIATES
1137 N. MCDOWELL BLVD.
PETALUMA, CA 94954
Dear Craig;
On May 7, 1996, I left a voice mail message at your office
concerning the necessity for sensing probes to be located at the
bottom of the dispenser sumps for the Pac-Bell site at 2300 E.
Eight Mile Road. The conditional approval for the installation of
the Underground Tank System was based upon the assumption that the
piping penetration into the bottom of the dispenser sump would
allow for free-flow into the piping secondary containment should
there be a leak. The current fittings require several inches of
liquid to accumulate before entry into secondary piping.
This office requires that whenever there is the possibility for
product accumulation within the dispenser sump a probe must be
installed within that sump.
Please contact me at (209) 468-0335, so that we can correct this
problem.
Respectfully,
Jerry Yoshi a
Registered Environmental Health Specialist
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services
