You were going to send me a photocopy and I still have not received the copy. Please send me a copy for my file. Mail it to: Juan Quijano, Tri Valley Growers, P.O. Box 1211, Modesto, CA 95353. Following up on reconciling the underground tanks removed, the tank abandoned in place and the manifest for the absorbent/oil material that was generated from the tank removal and closure in place activity, I was able to contact Tom Vogel and Ken Morganti, the individuals that were involved with the project. Tom Vogel is no longer working for Tri Valley Growers and Ken Morganti is assigned to another plant. The following is a chronology of what was recollected by Ken Morganti and Tom Vogel. Two underground gasoline tanks, Tank A (2,000 Gallons) and Tank B (1,000 Gallons) were removed during the month of February, 1987. Tanks A and B excavated soils were sampled on February 9, 1987 and analyzed for petroleum hydrocarbons (California Water Labs Samples P-40031 and P-40032). The sample from Tank B showed Motor oil at 160 ppm. Tank B excavated soil was sampled a second time on March 10, 1987 and the result show no detectible amount of petroleum hydrocarbons (California Water Labs Sample P-41357). It was suspected that the motor oil could have been from an area with a spot showing signs of oil that dripped in the above ground dirt. A sample of the above ground dirt was taken on March 10, 1987 and the result show motor oil at 87 ppm and kerosene at 81 ppm. P.O.
