Notes <br />The FIRESTOMPER Automatic Fire Suppression System evaluated successfully extinguished <br />standing pool fire scenarios intended to simulate those which may occur in the confined spaces of <br />fuel dispenser sumps. The suppression system successfully extinguished the standing pool fires <br />when installed in either the or the center of an otherwise unobstructed fuel dispenser sump. The <br />agent and delivery system also minimized the propensity for re -ignition of the fuel surface of standing <br />fuel pools for up to 15 minutes following initial extinguishment. <br />Project No. 01.04917.122 <br />TEST RESULTS: <br />Time to Actuation - 2.0 <br />Time to Extinguish - 11.0 sec. <br />Maximum Fusible Link Temperature - 34 Degrees F <br />Maximum Temperature at Sump Opening - 935 Degrees F <br />First Re -Ignition Test Time - 2 min. <br />Second Re -Ignition Test Time - 15 min. <br />This data is the average of four test runs. Two tests were run with the extinguisher mounted in the <br />corner of the dispenser sump, and two tests were run with the extinguisher mounted in the center of <br />the dispenser sump. Each test was conducted with approximately two gallons ofgasoline in a <br />standing pool in the bottom of the dispenser sump. <br />
