MANWAY RISERS <br />The Fiberglass Manway Riser provides access from a man- <br />hole box and cover. <br />DO NOT ENTER TANK. <br />ENTRY CAN RESULT IN: <br />Sit 16, k <br />ASPHYXIATION FIRE EXPLOSION <br />Entering the manway riser or the tank after installation is <br />a confined space entry. Follow proper safety procedures. <br />♦ Since the riser bottom is open, the manway riser wiil fill <br />with water as water surrounds it on the outside. <br />♦ Traffic areas require a reinforced concrete traffic pad. <br />♦ The riser must be installed with a minimum 6" of clear- <br />ance from the top of the tank. <br />♦ The bottom of the riser should be supported with wood <br />pieces measuring a minimum 2" x 4" x 40". <br />♦ Contact Tank Technical Support for more detailed in- <br />structions. <br />27 <br />
