was noted that a concrete pad was present in the bottom of the excavation. It was decided
that four holes would be bored through the concrete pad to facilitate collection of soil
samples.
On 22 October 2003, six soil samples were collected from the Site in accordance with
strict regulatory protocol and sent to Sunstar Laboratories, a laboratory certified by the
State of California to perform the required analyses. Results from the laboratory analyses
are summarized in Table 1 and the complete laboratory report is located in Attachment 2.
Results indicated sample TI-W-6' contained Total Purgable Petroleum Hydrocarbons
(TPH-G) at 42 mg/Kg and lead at 19 mg/Kg. All other analytes in all samples were not
detected at their respective laboratory detection limits.
Geofon appreciates the opportunity to have provided services on this project and we look
forward to working with SJCEHD in the future.
