The
inactive product lines extend west of the current boundary. AGE proposes to abandon the product
lines in place. Both ends of each product line will be exposed. The pipes will be rinsed with cleaning
agents. Neat cement will be used to fill each pipe under pressure.
Soil samples will be collected at a depth of two feet below the pipe-lines,with a minimum of one
sample per twenty linear feet. One sample will be collected from the terminal end of the pipe in the
suspected area of a former dispenser island. The samples will be analyzed for the following:
• total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline (TPH-g) in accordance with EPA
method 8015-modified,
• purgeable aromatics (benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and total xylenes: BTE&X) in
accordance with EPA method 8020
• total lead in accordance with EPA method 7421,
• oxygenating fuel additives methyl tertiary butyl ether(MTBE),tertiary butyl alcohol(TBA),
di-isopropyl ether(DIPE), ethyl tertiary butyl ether(ETBE) and tertiary amyl methyl ether
(TAME) in accordance with EPA method 8260m.
4005 North Wilson Way,Stockton,California 95205
Telephone(209)467-1006 FAX(209)467-1118
