Box 388 • Stockton, CA 95201-0388 <br /> (209) 468.3420 <br /> JAIL 2 51994 <br /> DENNIS F ERARDI <br /> P O BOX 691000 <br /> STOCKTON, CA 95269-1000 <br /> RE: 600 N EL DORADO ST SITE CODE: 2549 <br /> STOCKTON <br /> Based upon our telephone conversation of January 21, 1994, San Joaquin County <br /> Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) has reevaluated <br /> the file for the above referenced site relative to the underground storage <br /> tank(s) that were removed on September 11, 1986. For the reasons stated during <br /> our conversation, PHS/EHD's staff had recommended site closure in May 1987, <br /> however, formal notification to you was not done. <br /> This letter confirms the completion of site investigation and remedial action at <br /> the above site. With the provision that the information provided to this agency <br /> was accurate and representative of existing conditions, it is our position that <br /> no further action is required at this time. <br /> Please be advised that this letter does not relieve you of any liability under <br /> the California Health and Safety Code or Water Code for past, present, or future <br /> operations at the site. Nor does it relieve you of the responsibility to clean <br /> up existing, additional or previously unidentified conditions at the site which <br /> cause or threaten to cause pollution or nuisance or otherwise pose a threat to <br /> water quality or public health. <br /> Additionally, be advised that changes in the present or proposed use of the site <br /> may require further site characterization and mitigation activity.
