NAVARRA BROS.
Phone 209/836-0005
March 15, 1996
MA
OI: D'141.1119i1t OF CODIMBRICIAL A INDCSrIUAI, PROPERTY
47.5 West Blewett Road
San Joaquin Environmental Health division
304 East Webber Avenue
Stockton, CA 95201-0388
Attention: Donna Herrin
Tracy, California 95376
SUBJECT: UNDERGROUND WASTE OIL STORAGE TANK REMOVED FROM
PROPERTY AT 152 EAST 11TH STREET, TRACY, CALIFORNIA
Dear Ms. Herrin:
The underground waste oil storage tank that was located on February 13, 1996
on the property at 152 East llth Street, Tracy, California was discovered during
preparation for the remediation of the hydrocarbon affected soil on this site.
The fill area of this waste oil tank had been covered with cement. The filler
neck was discovered during the removal of the paving. This tank must have
been installed sometime in the late 1940's at the time the station was built. Since
I have never operated this property as a service station, I was not aware that
this tank existed and therefore never registered the tank. Also I had the
underground gasoline storage tanks removed in the mid 1980's and were unaware
that any other tanks existed on this site.
It is requested that the fees for registration of this underground storage tank
be waived since neither the I nor my tenants knew that this tank existed. If
you have any question please contact me at the phone number listed below.
Very truly yours,
Albert E.'Navarra
AEN:dlf
cc: The San Joaquin Co.
